Add a watermark
Mark your photos with your own text — positioned, sized and faded exactly how you want, across a whole batch.
A watermark makes ownership visible and casual reuse inconvenient. Set your text, place it, and apply it across up to thirty images at once.
Ironically, most free watermarking sites add their own watermark. This one does not.
How to use it
- Add your images.
- Type your text and set position, size and opacity.
- Process and download individually or as a ZIP.
Corner or tiled?
A corner watermark is unobtrusive and keeps the photograph intact. It is also trivially cropped out, so use it where attribution matters more than protection — portfolios, social posts, blogs.
A tiled watermark repeats diagonally across the whole frame. It cannot be cropped away without destroying the image, at the cost of being clearly visible. Use it for proofs sent to clients before payment, or stock previews.
Settings that actually work
- Opacity 40-60%. Below 30% it vanishes on busy backgrounds; above 70% it dominates the photograph.
- Size 4-6% of image height for a corner mark. Large enough to read, small enough to ignore.
- White with a soft shadow works on most photographs. Black suits bright, high-key images.
- Bottom-right is conventional and least likely to sit over your subject.
A watermark deters casual copying. It is not real protection — anyone determined can remove one. Treat it as a signature rather than a lock.
Questions
Does Invo add its own watermark?
No. The only text on your image is the text you type.
Can I use a logo image as the watermark?
Not yet — text only. Logo watermarks are planned.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Yes, up to 30 per batch with the same settings.
Will the watermark scale with different image sizes?
Yes. Size is a percentage of image height, so it stays proportionate across mixed dimensions.
Are my photos uploaded?
No.
